Who We Are ?

For more than 60 years, Waffenschmidt GmbH has been the leading supplier of cattle and horsehair to the global brush industry.

Our family business processes tail and mane hair from cattle and horses – primarily of South American origin – offered as 100% animal hair qualities or as mixtures with synthetic fibers from Europe.

Modern, computer-controlled mixing machines allow us to produce orders of customized quality and quantity to meet clients’ requirements, for both industry and craft businesses.

With our family-owned manufacturing site in Paraguay, where the raw material from all over South America is collected and processed, we are backwards integrated which enables us to secure long-term supply chains.
